Hizbul-Quran School & Orphans Support Program:

The Foundation also runs this 3-4 years-long skills training residential school for the Orphans and the students of the poorest background, to prepare them become independent in life in the quickest possible time. They begin this school after 2nd to 4th grade (8 to 10 yrs old) regular schooling, and after completion of the program, they attend a few more years of schooling in an Alia Madrasa (religious + regular) school, until they become 18 years old to receive employment in thousands of religious (Mosques) and elementary educational institutions in the country.

Physical and Developmental Disabilities Program:

This is a rehabilitation services program that aims training children and the adults of these groups the daily living skills to help them become independent in taking care of themselves. There is an urgent need for these services for there are more than 5% of the children, and the adults of the Char areas, have one or other form of physically and developmentally disabilities. The Foundation is currently offering a learning disability program for the students of the Foundation. Establishing a vocational and rehabilitation educational center is an urgent need for the areas.

Adult Literacy & Women’s Empowerment Program:

The Foundation offers an adult literacy program time to time depending on the availability of funding. The women’s Empowerment program is important for both the women and their children to be successful in schools and thus become a better human being. The establishment of a vocational and rehabilitation education center is crucially important for the Char people.

“One-Child a Family” Functional Education Program

The focus of this program is building new schools and upgrading the existing informal village-based schools in the line with one or the other of the two national education systems, the Regular and the Alia Madrasa (Regular + Religious). With an aim to cover more families in the education system, this program admits one child of parents’ choice of a family, at a time. The Foundation is currently running one school, pre-school to 5th grade, and acquired land to build another in the Char areas. In addition to the national education curriculum, the school helps students learn the skills of daily living, and of the communication, social interaction, health care, and vocational preparedness.
